Sydney FC’s Brosque well aware win is required

Sydney FC striker Alex Brosque is well aware his side needs to record their first win of the season.

Sydney FC striker Alex Brosque is well aware his side needs to record their first win of the season.

The reigning champs are currently at the foot of the A-League table after six rounds and are in desperate need of three points.

Although that can’t come this week as they have the bye, Brosque is eyeing a return to action and a win in Round 8 when they meet Gold Coast United at the Sydney Football Stadium.

"Everyone will be back on board for the Gold Coast game as well which is a positive and we can't leave it too much longer to start getting results," Brosque told AAP.

"As a team, when you go through a patch like this you can start to get irritated and annoyed and the boys start to possibly get on each other's nerves a little bit.

"So I think it's just a good week to unwind and relax and I guess forget about the situation we're in for a couple of days."
