Sydney FC’s Bridge expecting improvement with Brosque return

Sydney FC striker Mark Bridge expects the side to improve when fellow attacker Alex Brosque returns to the line-up.

The Sky Blues are firmly rooted to the bottom of the A-League table on just two points after Week 7 but Bridge is of firm belief that things will get better when Brosque returns to the pitch, most likely on Sunday against Gold Coast United.

“With Brosquey coming back we know how good the two of us play together so it's always a positive when he comes back," Bridge told the club's official website.

And Bridge added that things around the club were not too bad despite the poor start to their title defence.

"Everyone is in positive spirits. We played really well last weekend and I thought we were unlucky. People talk about us losing players from last season but I think if you compared last week's game to some games from last season we played a lot better,” he said.

"If we were playing terrible like we did against Adelaide and Brisbane every week then we would be worried. But we're playing some good football so there are positive signs."
