Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka has led his side to the top of the A-League table but wants more.

Following the 3-0 away rout of reigning champions Melbourne Victory last week, the Sky Blues now have their sights set on runners-up Adelaide United and Lavicka is looking for another win.

“Last game in Melbourne was our best performance of the season, I appreciate it because the players played very well," Lavicka said.

"But in this moment it is in the past, we are going forward and preparing for Friday's game in Adelaide."

The Czech tactician does, however, expect a tough showing from the Reds, who took it up to Sydney earlier in the season.

"Of course we respect them and I think it will be a very difficult game because we remember the first game in Round 2 here in Sydney, it was a very tough game for us, we scored in the last part of the game and we expect (another) tough game," he added.

Sydney meet Adelaide at Hindmarsh Stadium tomorrow night – kick-off is at 7:30pm local time (8:00pm AEDT).
