Sydney’s start not good enough – Brosque
Sydney FC striker Alex Brosque has labelled the team’s start to the season as simply ‘not god enough’.
The reigning champions have taken just one point from their first two matches - leading then falling behind before a late equaliser against Melbourne Victory in round 1 and conceding a late goal after equalising against North Queensland Fury on Saturday night.
Brosque knows the team needs more in the coming matches to really assert themselves on the competition once again.
''We need to take a real good look at all areas of the park … one point from two games is just not good enough,” he said. “We know the other teams will want to knock us off, but I'm a bit stunned at the way we've started.
“But we've got good players and good coaching staff to put things back together in the next couple of weeks. We have to.''
Sydney meet the Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night – kick-off is at 7:30pm.
