Sydney’s Bridge eyeing two wins this week

Sydney FC striker Mark Bridge is determined to help the club grab their first wins of the season this week.

The reigning A-League champs have yet to salute in seven matches, nailing them to the bottom of the table, but they get the opportunity to climb up when they meet second-bottom North Queensland Fury on Wednesday followed by league leaders Adelaide United on Monday.

“Playing three games in a week will take its toll though - there's the international weekend off afterwards but we're down on numbers now,” Bridge said.

"Having said that, the pain will disappear if we can snatch two wins.

"We were frustrated with the way the Gold Coast game ended, we felt we played really well at times. Usually you have to wait another week to get that out of your system, so in that sense we can't wait to get back on the park against Fury.

"Our luck's going to turn as well - you look at the shot from Stephan (Keller) that hit the keeper in the face right at the end, plus there's (Alex) Brosquey's goal where for some reason advantage wasn't played. Those moments are game breakers."
