Sunderland's Waghorn looks at extending Leicester stay
Sunderland forward Martyn Waghorn would be more than happy to remain at Leicester until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is expected to return to Wearside in January but Waghorn states that if the opportunity arose he would be willing to stay on for a further four months.
Black Cats manager Steve Bruce is said to be keeping a close eye on the striker's exploits at the Walkers Stadium and could want Waghorn, who netted his fourth goal of the season on Saturday, as cover for Darren Bent, Kenwyne Jones and Fraizer Campbell.
"It would be a wrench to leave as long as I'm enjoying it," he told the Daily Mirror. "I don't know what is happening at the minute, but I would definitely be happy to stay. I like the club and enjoy being with the lads.
"So I don't see why I wouldn't stay if the chance was there."
