Sunderland join queue for Barcelona's Gudjohnsen

Sunderland have joined Aston Villa, West Ham, Everton and Fulham in the pursuit of Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen, reports the Evening Chronicle.

The 30-year-old has grown frustrated at his lack of first-team action at the Nou Camp and is keen on a return to the Premier League.

The reported £4m fee would not be a problem for the Black Cats.
