Sunderland boss Steve Bruce hopes to sign permanently on-loan Tottenham fullback Alan Hutton.
Bruce has yet to speak to his Spurs counterpart Harry Redknapp regarding the possibility of keeping Hutton at the Stadium of Light on a long-term basis.
But the Black Cats chief confirmed that he would be keen to agree a deal for the 25-year-old, who cost Tottenham a fee in the region of £8million.
"I have not yet had any conversation with Harry Redknapp to see if he will be available," said Bruce.
"But if he was available in the summer, of course, I would be interested.
"He has done particularly well for us and has slipped into the team very nicely."

Can't believe Rednapp picks 'shit' Corluka over Hutton, he is so slow and flat footed it's unbelievable.
