Sunderland boss Bruce confirms talks with Arsenal defender Campbell

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has confirmed talks with off contract Arsenal defender Sol Campbell.

Campbell is a free agent after leaving Arsenal at the end of last season and has been sounded out by Bruce.

"I have known Sol Campbell for a lot of years and it was nice to see him," said Bruce.

"We had a catch up to see what his ideas are and what he is up to.

"It was pretty positive stuff and we will see what happens there."
