Straka delighted Talay back for North Queensland Fury

North Queensland Fury coach Franz Straka is pleased his skipper is back in action this weekend.

North Queensland Fury coach Franz Straka is pleased his skipper is back in action this weekend.

Ufuk Talay has missed the past two matches due to suspension but will be deployed on the centre of midfield at Dairy Farmers Stadium against Perth Glory tonight and Straka is expecting a solid performance.

“Ufie is the captain, our leader,'' Straka said.

"We need his leadership, his quality. We need guys with experience and Ufie is a player with big experience and me missed him a lot in both games.''

And the Fury’s precarious situation in second bottom place on the A-League table was not lost on the Czech tactician.

“It is real important for us to close the gap on sides in front of us,'' he added.

"A win in this match will make things much better for us, we have come to a period where we are at home more and need to get points.

"Definitely, there is pressure on us. We are all disappointed for coming so close in our last couple of games.''
