Stoke must drop price to sell West Brom, Blackburn target Beattie

Stoke City must drop their asking price to get James Beattie off their books.

Stoke City must drop their asking price to get James Beattie off their books.

The Daily Mail says Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers have all shown interest over the past six months but Stoke do not want to let him go for anything other than £2million and for a 32-year-old that is causing interested clubs to reconsider.

Celtic also like Beattie as they weigh up various targets but again they are not blessed with cash and the same problems may occur.

Clubs would prefer a loan deal or a knockdown fee up front with potential add-ons based on goals yet it seems Beattie may be facing more frustration as Stoke stand firm.
