Stoke City chairman Peter Coates says Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins is not on their shopping list.
Coates told The Sentinel: "There's nothing in that one. We haven't had contact or discussions about him at all.
"I don't know where the story has come from, but there is no substance to it.
"I don't bother about the speculation. It is normal. I think our fans know we don't go in for publicity stunts."

May be Martins needs a cosmetic surgery for him to attract interest since its been now the order of the day for clubs and their marketability. Martins is the quickest player in the box aroud in europe today and only because he's not white do limit the attraction since Owen who seems not even in his class is being talked on for a big clubs move.
Martins is too big a player to play for Stoke and I prefere he plays with Newcastle next season in the championship if Man united, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Realmadrid etc do not have interest in his services.
in my opinion, Martin deserves to be in the top four club of the Premier League...
