Stoke boss Pulis hopes to get target of 40 points

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis hopes his team can reach their target of 40 points.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis hopes his team can reach their target of 40 points.

The Potters need just one point in three matches to reach their goal in what Pulis described would be a ‘remarkable’ effort.

"We are despertate to get to the 40 points," Pulis told Sky Sports News.

"I think if we get to 40 points it has been a remarkable season, I really do mean that.

"We have been written off left right and centre from day one so to get over 40 points would be fantastic for us.

"If and when we get the 40 points then we have got plans in place to push on and improve the football club," added Pulis.

"I think the most important thing is you learn and we have had this year's experience.

"There are certain things we have done well, certain things we haven't done so well and we have to improve and we have to make sure people around the place realise it has been a great season.

"But if you stand still, especially at this level, there is every chance you can fall back and we can't do that, we cannot afford to do that."
