Manchester United remain favourites for Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to go to £10 million for the Belgium international in JAnuary.

Owen Hargreaves is close to his United return but Sir Alex Ferguson is planning for the future at Old Trafford and sees Liege star Defour as the man to add some steel to his midfield.
