Sseppuya set for North Queensland Fury debut
Ugandan striker Eugene Sseppuya is set to make his A-League debut with North Queensland Fury this weekend.
The 27-year old former FK Sudova man has received his International Transfer Certificate ahead of Saturday evening’s clash with Sydney FC at Dairy Farmers Stadium and football operations manager Robbie Middleby said it was a great thing for the club.
"Eugene gives more competition to the players already there," Middleby told the Townsville Bulletin. "All of a sudden it's become harder and that is good for the team.
"The coach was desperate to get him over the line and a lot of work went into getting that visa before pushing the international player clearance through. He comes in as a very different attacking option for us with his ability to hold up the ball, which is something we have lacked a little."
