Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko reckons GOD must have told manager Harry Redknapp to give him another chance.

He was desperate to leave in the January transfer window after starting just two games and falling out with the manager. But he has seized his chance, scoring eight goals in his last seven games.

Pavlyuchenko, 28, said: "Maybe God told Redknapp 'Don't let him go and then he'll definitely score'.

"Before, the situation seemed hopeless - I didn't know what to do. Now my mood is totally different."

Pavlyuchenko was furious when denied the chance to join Lokomotiv Moscow, but now reckons it's worked out for the best.
