Spurs, Liverpool rival Arsenal for Romeu

Arsenal face stiff competition for Barcelona midfielder Oriol Romeu.

Sport says Romeu is a January target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, but he faces competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool for the teenager.

Everton are also keen as Romeu's reps sound out interested clubs about move away in January.

The youngster wants to move on after seeing his path to the first team blocked by the arrival of former Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

I can see why he wants to move, but the allure of Andsome Arry or that incomprehensible ginger jock has got to play into Wenger's hands.
