Spurs legend Lineker: Ferguson frustrated over lack of Man Utd transfer cash

Tottenham legend Gary Lineker believes Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is showing signs of frustration over the lack of transfer funds available to him.

Tottenham legend Gary Lineker believes Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is showing signs of frustration over the lack of transfer funds available to him.

In his column for the Mail on Sunday, Lineker wrote: "Sir Alex is clearly a genius at building new teams, but not even he can do it with nothing to spend. The club say there is money available in the summer and the £80million received for Cristiano Ronaldo has barely been touched.

"But until they sign some top talent like David Villa, the supporters will remain concerned because we've seen in recent games against Chelsea and Bayern that this is not a vintage United team. That, more than anything, is why Alex snapped and came up with his 'typical Germans' comment."
