Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says he'll be surprised if he's able to sell Roman Pavlyuchenko before the market shuts next week.

Despite consigning Pavlyuchenko to the bench and David Bentley to the stands, Redknapp says that it is unlikely either will be leaving in January.

Redknapp said: “I’d be surprised if he (Pavlyuchenko) wasn’t here at the end of January. I think he’s sure to be here. There’s nothing happening, no-one’s spending any money and there’s nothing happening really. It’s pretty quiet.

“I don’t see anyone leaving. Nothing’s happening. We’ve not heard much, had no offers from anybody and everything seems pretty dead. It’s quiet.”
