History
After working his way up from the Sporting CP Youth team Simao Began his professional career with Sporting CP. Soon after he was transferred to the Catalan Giants. Soon after he was transferred to Benfica where he spent the bulk of his playing career winning the Portuguese league, Portuguese cup and Portuguese super cup. Currently playing for Athletico Madrid, Simao won the Uefa Europa league in the season 2009-10.
