Seattle Sounders coach Sigi Schmid hopes 2010 MLS SuperDraft selection Michael Seamon shows enough for them to add to the first team roster.

The Sounders took the Villanova University midfielder at pick 27 in the draft but allowed him to finish his schooling before having him on board.

Now he is ready to train to with the club and Schmid hopes he can make an impact although he understands it may be difficult for the 22-year old.

"With Michael, we wanted to allow him the opportunity to finish school, just like we did with [Michael] Fucito last year,” Schmid said.

“So he has been able to complete that and now he's got a couple of weeks to come out here and show us what he can do and whether he is somebody we want to add to our roster. Obviously we drafted him and we think he has abilities and it's tough sometimes coming into it in the middle of it."
