Seattle Sounders coach Schmid searching for answer to form slump

Seattle Sounders coach Sigi Schmid is confident his players can turn around their recent form slump.

Seattle Sounders coach Sigi Schmid is confident his players can turn around their recent form slump.

The newest MLS franchise have dropped their past three matches, failing to score a goal in all three losses.

Schmid says there are many ways to try and lift a team back up but it just depends on the group.

"It's just sometimes a subtle reminder. Sometimes it's being a little firmer with them at times, demanding a little more of ourselves in training," Schmid said after Monday's practice at Starfire Sports Complex.

"And sometimes, you just need that break. It's sort of like once the first one goes in, then others will start to come. It's just something that you go through. All teams go through them. That's why when you look at every team's history, there's always a streak of minutes where they haven't scored a goal.

"It'll come," Schmid said. "I have faith in the guys and guys have faith in themselves."
