Seattle Sounders’ Zakuani has made national team decision
Seattle Sounders attacker Steve Zakuani has revealed he has made his decision on which national team he will play for.
The 22-year old has come of age in MLS this season with ten goals and has attracted interest from all three nations he is eligible to represent.
Zakuani was born in DR Congo and has both English and US citizenship, prompting the ex-Arsenal trainee to make a big decision.
And although he has made that decision, he did not reveal who he had chosen when quizzed by the Seattle Times.
"Yeah I do, but I know where I'm going to play now. Potentially I can play for three, but I already know,” he said.
When quizzed further, Zakuani replied with: "They will know soon. Yeah. When I play."
It is expected Zakuani will play for native Congo despite calls from USA captain Landon Donovan to have him in his national team.
