Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko remains a target for Russian clubs.

Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko remains a target for Russian clubs.

Clubs in the striker's native Russia can make signings up to March, when their domestic season starts, and Lokomotiv Moscow are keen to snap up the unhappy 28-year-old, says the Daily Mail.

"The window closing means that Roman will not go to another European club," said his agent, Oleg Artemov.

"Now the Russian option looks very likely. On Monday I talked to the president of Lokomotiv, Nikolai Naumov, three times. The process continues."

White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp is keen to hold on to Pavlyuchenko, especially after allowing to Robbie Keane to join Celtic on loan for the rest of the season.
