Roberts named in Blackburn squad after failing to get Wigan move

Jason Roberts has been named in Blackburn Rovers' 25-man squad.
The striker had agreed with Sam Allardyce it would be best for him to move on if possible but, with no acceptable offer having been made, he remains a Rover.
Rovers were expecting a Premier League club, understood to be Wigan, to make a bid yesterday.
The lack of movement meant Rovers dropped their interest in Bulgarian Ivelin Popov.
Roberts is unlikely to be allowed out on loan once the window opens again for Championship clubs.
