Redknapp: Palacios now making Tottenham impact

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Wilson Palacios has developed into a key player for Spurs, following his &12m move from Wigan.

Redknapp said: "He's a vital player for us. He gets after the ball, he works, he's strong. His attitude as well, the way he trains every day.

"He might give the ball away occasionally but he works hard to get it back and he's a big factor in our improvement. He puts a shift in when he doesn't have the ball.

"That attitude has rubbed off on everyone."

Redknapp is full of admiration for Palacios' strength of character after the tragedy of his brother's murder back in Honduras at the end of last season.

"What he's been through with his family, you want him to succeed," said Redknapp.

"He's an easy going, lovely lad who just wants to play football.

"He's pleased and honoured to be here and play for Spurs. That's why the fans love him and you want him to do well."

ditto Milky bar kid.. couldn't have said it better myself. Kudos to Palacios..

I love the man as a footballer, there are very few other players who love the game as much as this guy does and he was a pleasure to watch while he was with us at Wigan. His enthusiasm is infectious (as old bollock chops says) and I hope he continues to enjoy his football - the Spurs fans are lucky to be watching him regular rather than lazy arse prima-donnas that they appear to have thrown some money at in recent years

Best of luck Wilson

He will improve a lot more,
