Real Madrid want to keep De La Red involved

Real Madrid want to keep Ruben del la Red involved with the club.

De La Red still has hopes of resuming his playing career, which has been suspended due to a heart complaint.

In the meantime, Real GM Jorge Valdano has spoken to the player and his agent, Manuel Quilon, about a role with the club's youth setup, acting as an advisor and assistant coach.
