Real Madrid signing Canales rejected Barcelona as junior

Real Madrid signing Sergio Canales admits he could be playing for Barcelona.

Racing Santander midfielder Canales, 18, will join Real at the end of the season.

The youngster almost signed for Barca's youth team before agreeing to join Racing. He revealed: "It's true, but I'm very happy to be playing for Real Madrid, because this is what I have chosen. Madrid was always my first choice despite the offers received.

"The truth is that Madrid is now my team and I see all their players as being very good. In fact, I still cannot imagine myself there."
