Real Madrid are attempting to bring forward Cristiano Ronaldo's expected return from his ankle injury.
Sport says Ronaldo was initially expected to be out for a month after aggravating his injury last week in action for Portugal. But following two defeats in three games, Real are attempting to get him ready for the November 3 Champions League return date at AC Milan.
Everything will hinge on how Real continue to perform without the Portuguese ace. If performances do not improve, Real management will push to have Ronaldo available ahead of schedule.
