Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reluctant to splash out in the January market.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reluctant to splash out in the January market.

Despite the season-ending injury suffered by Pepe and doubts persisting over their left-back options, Sport says Perez has asked general manager Jorge Valdano and coach Manuel Pellegrini about going with what they have for the remainder of this season.

After spending over £200 million in the summer market, Perez, along with his No2 Miguel Pardeza, have decided they should be capable of going for the rest of this season without needing to spend again.
