Real Madrid GM Valdano: Why should I resign?
Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano insists he has no reason to resign, despite the dismissal of coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Pellegrini, a personal bet by Valdano, was dismissed yesterday, so paving the way for Jose Mourinho to be installed as new Real coach.
"Resigning has not even crossed my mind because I know what my responsibilities within the club are and frankly I do not think my place has been damaged. I know what my relationship is with the entity of the Board and the President," said Valdano.
"This is a frustration that hurts us all and that somehow weakens us all. But I must say that I am not disappointed by Pellegrini, quite the contrary. I thought he was a great professional. Sometimes circumstances work against you."
The Argentine added: "Meanwhile, I feel authorized to say that we want Mourinho and Mourinho will be part of Madrid next season because that is his intention and he has already expressed this."

all the good reasons are there for you to resign... Mr "peace of mind" dumbass valdano. poor decisions in the sporting field all the way from day 1 and the guy doesnt even know how to speak properly... a ffucking big liar and treating some players like shit... best example of that... Robben and Sneijder sold for 2 pennies to later bring their clubs to the final at.... Madrid. theat only one deal should have been enough for him to get the ffuck out but the guy has no dignity..
clearly the GM spot at the club is far too good for him. Zidane, Butragueno or Hierro would have been a much better option for such a valuable position.
mr Linkjyde - U say Valdano has brought only Argentinians... - who? Please go ahead and name 1 Argentinian Valdano has brought into Real Madrid.
Hey mr.Valdano, plz resign frm ur post cuz u r a born loser.U only bring players from ur country,so u r a fool for doing that
