Real Madrid GM Valdano not surprised Ronaldo fuming

Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano wasn't surprised by the angry reaction Cristiano Ronaldo had against Valladolid's players during their win yesterday.

Ronaldo was visibly furious over the attention he received from Valladolid's defenders on the night.

But Valdano said: "You must analyze how Cristiano is treated by the opposition. He answers as a proud player who wants to win, with courage and a strong personality. He is one of the best the world. And he's very strong.

"It is difficult to hurt him. He takes great care and trains very well. He needs everyone's support."

As a utd fan i can't say i have a great deal of sympathy for him, although it happened repeatidly to him when he played for us also, and his reputation as a diver goes before him referees pressume he is trying to con them.

Although madrid fans can't complain, as i recall 2 seasons ago a young lad called messi was systematically fouled by every madrid defender on the park trading turns to take yellow cards.

I bet most of you that are calling Ronaldo a girl and are complaining about Real Madrid didn't even watch the match. HIS LEG WAS PURPOSELY STOMPED! The cuts on his shin were shown repeatedly on TV. Come on, that was a straight red and nothing was done about it. NOTHING. Stop hating on him for being him and realize that this could have happened to your favorite player and nothing would have been done. You'd be in a rage too if it would have happened to you!
