Ravanelli urges Juventus to stick with Ferrara

Juventus hero Fabrizio Ravanelli has offered his support to underfire coach Ciro Ferrara.

Ravanelli has urged the Juve board to stick with Ferrara to at least the end of this season.

The former Middlesbrough star said: “I don't know the situation from up close, but if I were Juve, I would put my faith in Ferrara. He is an extraordinary man and he has great qualities.

“I believe the club would do well to reinforce the position of the Coach that they have already. The players right now probably feel his position is being delegitimised.

“It's up to the directors to rehabilitate him. I don't believe Benitez can free himself now."
