Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu made a successful return to action when he got through 80 minutes of a friendly against Partick Thistle unscathed.
The 23-year old USA international has been out of action since injuring his knee on the final day of the last Scottish Premier League season in May and said it was great to be back out on the pitch again.
“It felt good to play finally,” Edu told American soccer website Yanks Abroad. “I felt like I was moving around well so good signs so far.”
Rangers boss Walter Smith is keen for Edu to return to full fitness prior to important fixtures in the New Year including the January 3 clash with title rivals Celtic.
