Puyol agent confirms contract talks suspended with Barcelona

The agent of Carles Puyol has confirmed new contract talks have stopped with Barcelona.

"The renewal of Puyol has stopped. It is a very good offer but the player wants to first see how things go with the team," said Ramon Sostres.

"Barcelona has signed Dmitryo Chygrynskiy and in the central role there is already Gerard Pique and Rafa Marquez.

"In the semifinal against Chelsea - in the Champions League - he played sparingly. He is the only captain who has not featured in such an important game."
