Portsmouth are set for a clear run at former England striker Darius Vassell.

Vassell has been linked with Pompey and Bolton Wanderers after his blow-up with Turkish club Ankaragucu.

But the Bolton News says Wanderers have no interest in bringing Vassell to the Reebok.

The 29-year-old, who was released by Manchester City in the summer, had been linked with a move back to the Premier League, having failed to settle at his new club.
