Plymouth Argyle boss Peter Reid said he was happy for midfielder Anton Peterlin after the English League One opener against Southampton.

The Pilgrims managed a 1-0 away win over the Saints to kick off the new season in great fashion and Reid was complimentary of Peterlin, who the club signed from Everton in the off-season.

“I think Peterlin looked lost for the first 45, but got stronger and stronger as the game went on, which is another plus. I was delighted for him as well,” Reid said.

Plymouth will take on Notts County in their next match which is the Carling Cup first round on Tuesday.
