MLS’ newest club Philadelphia Union are bring in a big-name player during the current transfer window according to CEO Nick Sakiewicz.

The Union, who joined North America’s top flight this season, will not add a Designated Player to their foundation squad as the club is intent on developing the players it currently has.

“I think we’ll be less active now than during the January window,” Sakiewicz told Delco Times.

“We don’t need a name. We need footballers to get better. A name is not important. Selling tickets is not hard for us. We need to make the team better, so the thinking is we have to be careful who we’re going to sign during this window.”
