Phelan: Man Utd happy to have 4-month run without international break
After victory over Everton, Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan admitted they're now hoping to find some rhythm to their play in the coming months.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will have his players for four months before the next international break.
Phelan told BBC Sport: “That’s important. We have got rid of all the non-essential games that we want as a football club and we have to concentrate now on putting a good run together if that’s possible and we can keep all the players together and fit and working well on the training ground to produce the results on the pitch.
“We just need to power on, that’s what we need to do. We were disappointed with the result down at Stamford Bridge (against Chelsea) and that gives us the determination to go on from there. We were disappointed but on today’s performance, it looks as though we can now pick ourselves up and go on again.”
