Perth Glory striker Daniel McBreen has made a habit of scoring against Adelaide United since joining the A-League at the start of the season.

The former York City talisman scored his third goal against the Reds this season and his first for the Glory since crossing from North Queensland Fury two weeks ago.

He has come somewhat of a bogey man for Adelaide who cannot take a trick this season and jokingly admitted he would like to play against the South Australians every week if he could.

“I said to the boys I think I'd like to play them every week the way it's been going for me. Just a bit of luck for me and working hard, that's just the way it has panned out ... no science behind it," McBreen said.

McBreen also said it was a compliment to get such close attention from veteran defender Mark Rudan and even better to be able to score on him after a close-checking contest throughout the match.

"We always have a nice battle between us, he's a big strong boy and we like to get into each other and it's quite enjoyable to be fair ... it's always been a good tussle," he added.

"You always like to score goals but when you've got a big guy like him kicking you all game as well it's nice to sneak around the back of him and stick one in the net so it's always nice get one up on him."
