Perth Glory’s Fowler to miss North Queensland clash

Perth Glory star Robbie Fowler will miss Friday night’s clash with former club North Queensland Fury.

The veteran striker returned home to the UK during the international break last week and was due back early this week.

However, new coach Ian Ferguson confirmed that Fowler had to deal with some personal matters and will not be back in Perth until next week forcing him out of the Dairy Farmers Stadium encounter.

"No, Robbie won't make it," Ferguson said. "Robbie's back home. He's had a couple of personal problems that he's got to try and fix over there, but he'll be back on Tuesday."

The former Liverpool goalscorer will have to wait for the October 24 home fixture against Sydney FC before he takes the field again.
