Perth Glory excited about Fowler signing

Perth Glory are over the moon that Robbie Fowler decided to sign with them.

The veteran English striker joined the Western Australian club from North Queensland Fury for a one-season deal and Glory chairman/owner Tony Sage was excited about the development.

“This is vindication that everything we are doing at Perth Glory is on track”, said Sage.

“Robbie had a number of clubs chasing his signature, both in the A-League and from the Middle-East and we’re delighted he’s decided to join Perth Glory.

“It’s exciting for football fans in Western Australia that a legend has decided to play for us."

Sage added that he pursued Fowler hard and was happy his work had paid off and was now hopeful the Perth public would get on board to support the club.

“Getting players of this calibre is not easy but it’s the commitment I have made to this football club. Now we need our fans and supporters to return the faith by purchasing season memberships," Sage added.

“We also need strong support from the commercial and business world and it would be remiss of me not to thank those organisations and individuals who have already pledged their support."
