Perth Glory confident Fowler will be back for North Queensland clash
The ex-Liverpool star has returned home to the UK over the FIFA international break but is expected to return to Perth early next week.
That will only give him a few days to recover from a gruelling travel schedule ahead of the Friday, October 15 meeting with his old club the Fury but Burns says it won’t be a problem.
"This FIFA window has been organised for him to go home and see his family," Burns said.
"I think that was all planned and arranged before Robbie had signed at the start of the season for family issues.
"So, you know, at the moment I'm expecting him back."
Burns added that the weekend off came at a good time for the Glory after losing four matches on the trot.
“I think it's a good time for the boys to regroup, refocus and start fresh again looking to North Queensland,” he added.
"No one likes losing and no one likes to be in this position on the back of four (losses).
"But if there is a time to have a blip I'd rather have it now than towards the end of the season.
"There's still enough time to put things right."
