Pellegrini blast for incoming Real Madrid coach Mourinho

Sacked Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has hit out at his expected replacement Jose Mourinho.

Sacked Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has hit out at his expected replacement Jose Mourinho.

Pellegrini is unhappy with the way the departing Inter Milan coach touted himself for the Real job while he was still in the position.

Pellegrini said: “I would never have spoken to another team on whose bench there was another Coach.

“It's not very ethical, but he is a Coach who has shown he knows how to win in whichever club he goes to.

“I came here with great hopes and great pride to lead this team. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to do what I wanted and I had problems from the start of the season.

“There was a lot of discussion inside the club. I asked that Sneijder and Robben be kept, because I considered them very important players. But no one allowed me to have my say on technical matters. It's like Del Bosque said, this club doesn't show respect for the role of Coach and doesn't give authority to them on the inside or the outside.

“Florentino Perez's project is extraordinary, but I think that he is making the wrong moves.”
