Pellegrini admits upsetting Real Madrid board with Raul axe

Former Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini admits he upset his directors last season by leaving out Raul during games.

Pellegrini also revealed he could have become coach of Barcelona.

On Raul, he said: "The decision went against some of the directors.

"But for the player, he always understood."

On working with Cristiano Ronaldo, Pellegrini added: "A very good professional. He likes football and media exposure."
