Owen agrees terms for Man Utd move

Michael Owen has agreed terms to join Manchester United, reports The Sun.

The out-of-contract striker will take a 50 per cent pay cut plus huge bonuses depending on appearances and goals.

A source close to Owen confirmed: "It's incredible that one day Michael was contemplating a move to Hull and now Manchester United have come in.

"This is just the boost he needed and now he is hoping that everything can be agreed."

Following a stringent medical, the 29 year old left a South Manchester hospital just after five o'clock and was understood to be returning to United's Carrington training ground to complete the formalities of the move.
