Overseas TV deal to net Premier League clubs £60M each

Premiership clubs will rake in a massive £60 million each from the league's new overseas television deal.

The News of the World says chief executive Richard Scudamore has landed a bumper £1.2BILLION deal to kick in at the beginning of next season. It doubles the existing deal and will see £400m split between the clubs for the next three years.

That will see all 20 top-flight sides pocket £20m from the start of the 2010/11 season, with the same amount due for the following two campaigns.

"It demonstrates the popularity and quality of the league," said a Premier League source. "It has taken over a year to do all the contracts and it's a great endorsement.
