Osman thrilled with quality of Gold Coast squad
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Tue, 06/09/2009 - 02:14
Gold Coast United midfielder Matthew Osman is delighted with the amount of quality in the club’s inaugural squad.
The former Central Coast Mariners man is under no illusion that the next two months will be a testing time for all players as they try to force a spot for themselves prior to the kick-off of the A-League season in August.
Osman knows it will be a tough job to gain first team selection, not only in the midfield.
"It is not just the midfield (that is full of stars), but all over the park," said Osman.
"There are quality players in every position and there is cover for every position.
"There are spots up for grabs so the boys will work hard over the next six to eight weeks."
