Osman: Everton players want to win Carling Cup
Leon Osman says Everton's players would love to take the club to Wembley in the Carling Cup.
"Having had a taste of Wembley last season the players would love to return in a cup competition," Osman told Everton TV after their Cup win over Hull City.
"It is silverware at the end of the day and the club is crying out for it - as are the players. We want to go down in the history books."
Moyes fielded a strong side but still made five changes as goalscorers Yakubu, Jo and Gosling all came in along with Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
Osman was also pleased to be handed extra responsibility with the armband.
"I found out in the dressing room I was going to be captain, so the manager left it late," the 28-year-old said.
"But once he let me know it seemed to put an extra spring in my step. It was great. I've been dreaming of doing that for a long time now and it came true.
"It was a perfect night for me. We were determined to come here and get the win so to lead the team out and win 4-0 put a massive smile on my face."
