Leon Osman was pleased for his Everton team-mate Yakubu after the striker scored his first goal since returning from a nine-month absence against Hull on Wednesday.
"It's just so great to see Yak back among us," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"I have experience being out for long periods myself and it is hard to take but he has stayed so positive throughout and has worked hard to get that first start.
"He scored the kind of goal that only Yak does. It was just great to see him do it and we are all delighted for him."
